We love the Mornington Peninsula and we want to make it a perfect retreat for you as well. Below is some important reading about the property, the house and of course rules!

 Yaringa Lodge

Nestled in the bush of the Mornington Peninsula Hinterland, Yaringa Lodge set on 11 acres of rolling gardens and pasture while the the property is bound by several hundred acres of Arthurs Seat State Park/Seawinds Gardens and becomes your base from which to explore bushwalks, wine tasting, restaurants, galleries and farm gate produce.

You are 600m from Seawinds Gardens, 500m from the Two Bays Walking trail and 1200m to the new Arthurs Seat Eagle gondola ride.

The Hinterland is popular with bush walkers, mountain bike riders, cyclists and horse lovers.

Other nearby attractions include the popular Pig and Whistle English pub in Main Ridge as well as the internally famous Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm. Horse riders can visit Arthurs Seat Trail Rides which is just minutes away. A short drive away and you’ll find 17 Golf courses, over 100 wineries, the bay or the ocean.

The Guest House

When you choose Yaringa Lodge as your retreat, the entire house is yours to enjoy. The Guest House has two rooms available for accommodation and has recently been renovated to provide an open plan space containing a sitting area with a gas log fireplace, living / TV room, fully equipped kitchen (coffee machine, toaster, oven, induction cook top, dishwasher, microwave and full size fridge.

The house is attached to an extension which is the main residence for the Yaringa Lodge property managers.

As a planned farm gate operation, you will probably see the property managers working in and around the gardens and orchard.   After a few short years both the gardens and orchard are well underway with espalier fruit trees and over 3000 shrubs and trees.

Please also be aware, Yaringa Lodge is a working farm with machinery, dam and other potential hazards, the property is strictly adults only accommodation.

Self Catering Guest House

Yaringa Lodge is NOT a Bed and Breakfast.  It is a fully self contained guest house.  We do not cook your meals or make your beds.  However, you do have complete privacy in the lodge and you’ll never be sharing the accommodation with another booking.

The amenities are clearly pointed out in room descriptions and in addition, we do provide coffee beans, milk, tea bags and assorted condiments.  All pots pans and cooking utensils as well as glassware is included.

PROPERTY / HOUSE RULES

* Strictly NO smoking in the house or on the grounds. * If you are a smoker, please do not book as you will not be able to light up anywhere on the property. * NOT A PARTY HOUSE. If you want to party, get drunk and make noise, we can recommend other venues. * No infants or children under 18. * No pets. * Suitable for a maximum of two couples. * No swimming in the dam - it's cold and deep! * Dirty shoes and boots off at the door please. * A Septic System / Treatment plant is in operation. NO wet wipes or hygiene products in the toilet please.

Booking Terms and Conditions

We have tried to making booking with us as easy and as clear as possible. We may not always get it right or cater for every contingency but we try to and make it fair for you and us! When you reserve Yaringa Lodge, we agree to turn away all other requests and you agree to pay the rate quoted for the duration of your stay at the point of booking. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking so, for this reason, we uphold the following cancellation policy: * Cancellation no less than one month prior – full refund less $50 administration fee. * Cancellation up to 3 weeks prior – 50% refund * Cancellation up to 2 weeks prior – no refund. In all cases, you may choose to transfer your booking to an alternative date where available.
